Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art education and a strong understanding of various art forms, media, and techniques. The Art Teacher will create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression in students.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaches assigned art classes, utilizing the adopted course of study and appropriate learning activities.
  • Develops and implements lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student learning in various art forms.
  • Provides instruction in a variety of art media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and digital art.
  • Creates a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student exploration, experimentation, and risk-taking.
  • Evaluates student progress and provides constructive feedback to foster artistic growth.
  • Maintains accurate records and prepares progress reports.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to integrate art into other subject areas and promote interdisciplinary learning.
  • Stays current with trends and developments in art education.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Valid California Teaching Credential Single Subject: Art
  • English Learner authorization
