Bring your supermarket cash office or bookkeeping experience and teamwork skills to Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace ! We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our Front Office Team here at our Port Washington Store location! The ideal candidate will be available early mornings during the week and on weekends.

The Bookkeeper ensures the accurate recording and maintenance of the store's financial records. This role requires familiarity with accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), as well as experience handling, coding, and scanning both physical and digital vendor invoices.
Responsibilities

• Follow all store policies and procedures
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
• Enter schedules into our customized system
• Perform daily safe counts and prepare cash deposits
• Receive, break down, and deliver funds via armored carrier
• Collect and update payroll information in our system
• Complete all bookkeeping procedures for opening and closing
• Ensure timely submission of daily cash packages to the office
• Count paper currency, coins, and credit card receipts, verifying totals against printouts
• Prepare deposit slips and monitor discrepancies or errors
• Manage and reconcile petty cash, cash funds, and fleet card gas receipts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior bookkeeping experience is preferred
• Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and a positive attitude
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and related software
