Job Overview Arclin is hiring a Chemical Production Operator in Portland, OR. The position reports to the Chemical Production Supervisor and is available for entry‑level to experienced operators. The operator will be responsible for manufacturing and processing resins, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, Arclin policies, and efficient safe operation. Pay: $23.88/hr for Operator E (Entry Level) – $31.38/hr for Operator A (Fully Trained) Responsibilities Manufacture resin safely according to procedure and HSE requirements. Unload and load raw materials and finished products via tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks. Operate a forklift to load/unload raw materials (drums, totes, bags, supersacks). Collaborate with management to meet production and shipping schedule. Ensure required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to remain in compliance with all regulations and corporate requirements. Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements. Follow all site rules and procedures related to quality, health, safety, and environment. Visually monitor processes within accountability and immediately inform the Lead Operator of deviations or abnormalities. Work in close coordination with the Lead Operator to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules across all processes. Communicate with the Lead Operator and with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality. Respond to process alarms and interlocks promptly, coordinating timely confirmation and corrective actions. Perform In‑Process Checks (IPC’s) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment (GC, titrator, pH meter, etc.). Perform troubleshooting in the event of process deviations. Perform routine housekeeping such as sweeping, powerwashing, etc. Qualifications Must be comfortable working 12‑hour shifts on days or nights (rotating shifts, especially during training). Experience with rotating shifts and night shifts preferred. Able to work independently. High School Diploma or GED required. Forklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified. Analytical and mechanical mindset needed for success. Previous chemical/manufacturing experience a plus. Must follow strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb frequently; work in elevated areas. Will lift an average of 55 lbs. frequently. Basic computer skills required. Experience with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment a plus. DC‑S Distributed Control Systems experience a plus. Basic math skills, including calculator use.
