Job Opening: Concrete Finisher

Location: Shakopee, MN

Pay: $25–$35/hour

Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

Join a top-ranked General Contractor in Minnesota, known for delivering high-quality design-build and construction services across commercial, industrial, and agribusiness sectors. As a Concrete Finisher, you’ll be part of a small, skilled team handling everything from bricklaying to pouring concrete footings at job sites throughout the Twin Cities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety for yourself and others on-site
• Operate hand and power tools: air hammers, tampers, mixers, pumps, saws, trawls, pressure washers, forklifts, skid steers, and surveying equipment
• Perform masonry work including laying, tuck pointing, demo, repair, and cleaning
• Erect shoring and scaffolding as needed
• Tool, grout, core fill, and wash masonry walls
• Form and pour strips, footings, and foundation walls
• Prepare sites for concrete pours: fine grading, rebar placement, trench drains, bollards
• Pour floors using pump trucks, buggies, screeds, floats, and trowels
• Demolish and repair concrete in commercial buildings
• Patch surfaces for floor covering prep
• Assist with foreman duties and team leadership when needed

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience
• Skilled in block laying, sheetrock, framing, and demolition
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Strong masonry and finishing abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of block laying experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Ability to assess and select appropriate tools and equipment
• Ownership of personal tool set

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
