COOLER GRADING OPERATOR

Souderton, Pennsylvania

Job Tasks:

• Setting up work station at the beginning of shift and tare down at the end of shift including calibration of grading cameras and equipment
• Utilizing grading equipment to determine USDA quality grades of carcasses ran during the production day
• Identifying USDA yield grades and carcass defects
• Have contact with USDA graders and able to communicate
• Aid cooler management in gathering data and investigating items out of regular employee responsibilities.
• Must learn and know all USDA and carcass segregation products.
• Monitor the implementation of all special programs and grading programs that the establishment runs
• Learn about proper ribbing techniques for grading camera and USDA presentation.
• Extended walking and standing in cold environments
• Coverage in other positions as needed.

Requirements:

•  Computer proficiency
• Strong communication skills verbal and written
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to work in cold environment
• Able to work fulltime M-S, as needed
