Job Description

Job Opportunity: Drone Operator

Our client is searching for a skilled operator with extensive experience operating drones via a remote control. You will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.

Required qualifications include:

  • Current 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Private Pilot License (PPL)
  • 2+ years of remote-control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 100% of the contract
  • Valid driver's license and able to satisfy our client's driver eligibility criteria
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks)
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with commercial drone industry
  • Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
  • Experience owning projects and updating key stakeholders on progress
  • Excellent business communications and reporting skills
