Job Description

A school-based Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in Vancouver, WA, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position spans the entire school year and involves working closely with students, educators, and families to enhance students functional abilities in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students occupational therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support academic and daily living skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom setting
• Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations
• Provide education and training to school staff regarding OT strategies and accommodations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials appropriate for school-based practice
• Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of educational systems and IEP processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
