Operations Assistant

This position can be filled throughout Fort Gregg-Adams Business Recreation Division: The Gregg-Adams Club, TenStrike Bowling Center, Cardinal Golf Club. Salary: $16 - $18 per hour. Salary will be determined by the Hiring Manager based upon experience and education. NAF pay setting rules apply.

Duties
  • Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers.
  • Determines cash shortage or overages. Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan.
  • May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes Daily Activity Report. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility.
  • May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights and weekends.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
  • The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether fulltime or part time are eligible to apply for this position.

  1. Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.
  2. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
  3. Skill in providing customer service.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials:

  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

Incentives and bonuses:

  • Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials (on OCONUS Template, will read as "Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials):

  • Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
