Overview

The Payroll Specialist collaborates with the Human Resources team to serve as the first point of contact for payroll and other administrative duties. This individual possesses strong customer service skills, exceptional detail orientation and follow up, above average organizational skills, and a broad understanding of organizational operations and procedures. This partner is self-directed.

Schedule: Part time 8a-5p (24 hours a week) Week 1: Monday & Wednesday, Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday

Responsibilities

• Serves as first point of customer contact for bi-weekly payroll.
• Completes timely and accurate data entry of payroll information, reviews and coordinates approval of timecards with departmental supervisors, and prepares bi-weekly payroll file in coordination with Home Office Payroll.
• Conducts verifications of employment and assists with training on Ultipro, including resetting of passwords.
• Participates with New Partner Orientation
• Conducts pre-employment processing of all new hires. Ensures accurate completion of requirements through use of quality checklist.
• Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in a business or technical degree program required.

Experience: At least five years in a payroll and administrative support role; strong customer service skills; exceptional detail orientation and follow up; above average organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office programs including Excel; ability to handle confidential and sensitive material; ability to conduct presentations. The ideal candidate has UltiPro payroll experience.
