Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a global manufacturing client to find a full-time Prototype Model Maker in the Nashville, TN area. Key responsibilities include building and assembling prototype models using manual machining tools such as lathes, mills, and welders. Serve as a hands-on partner to engineers during the product testing phase and ensure tests are executed correctly and on time. Build units based on technical blueprints or verbal instructions. Set up and run tests on prototype products to check performance and quality. Collect data, run instrumentation, and provide test documentation for engineering teams. Inspect and test equipment to verify quality, performance, and safety per engineering specifications. Maintain a safe, organized lab environment and follow standard operating procedures.
Qualifications include 5+ years of machining, model making, prototype fabrication or similar experience. Proven experience with lathe, mills, and welding work. Knowledge of CAE software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, LabView. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with lab or shop environments. Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and test procedures.
