Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead engineering tasks for an advanced visual analytic application within a mission-critical environment. This role involves developing data analytics for both desktop and web-developed visual analytic software, facilitating bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics and high-performance computing, and establishing applications that produce manageable, actionable intelligence from structured and semi-structured data streams. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge across key assignments, function as a technical expert, and play a pivotal role in designing enterprise database strategies and ensuring system performance and security.
Senior IT Project Lead Job Duties:
Carry out engineering tasks to deliver advanced visual analytic applications.
Develop data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software.
Facilitate bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing.
Utilize specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies for data engineering tasks.
Establish applications that produce manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data.
Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
Design and construct large relational databases.
Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance and functionality.
Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
Plan and lead major technology assignments.
Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret (TS) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.
Experience Requirements: Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in data engineering, or a related field. Certifications or past work may be used to demonstrate the level of experience needed to perform at this level. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions within a small team environment and possess strong communication skills.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills / Qualifications: Experience with advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing. Proven ability to establish applications that produce manageable, actionable intelligence from data streams. Strong background in designing strategies for enterprise database systems and setting standards for operations, programming, and security. Expertise in designing and constructing large relational databases, and integrating new systems with existing warehouse structures.
Location: On-Site Location in Washington, DC
Status: Full time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
