Tabling & event hosting support may be necessary Description Location: Bellingham, WA (Hybrid) Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week Overview: Kulshan Carbon Trust (KCT) is seeking an enthusiastic Community Engagement Coordinator to help expand our outreach, organize events, and build partnerships with local businesses and community groups. This role is ideal for someone passionate about climate solutions, community engagement, and nonprofit growth. Responsibilities: Outreach & Communications: Assist with writing and editing newsletters, blog posts, and website content. Develop outreach materials to educate the public on KCT’s mission and programs. Support email marketing and donor communications. Event Planning & Logistics: Help organize and coordinate KCT events, including fundraisers, educational programs, and volunteer workdays. Support event logistics such as venue coordination, scheduling, and marketing. Assist with day-of-event coordination and volunteer management. Business & Community Partnerships: Identify and connect with businesses interested in sustainability initiatives. Develop and maintain partnerships to support KCT’s programs. Coordinate in-kind donations or sponsorships from local businesses. Ideal Qualifications: Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with event planning, marketing, or community outreach (preferred but not required). Enthusiasm for climate action, conservation, and community-building. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
